- 200g grovt mel (whole grain flour)
- 100g havregryn (oats)
- 2 egg (eggs)
- 250ml kulturmelk eller yoghurt (buttermilk or yogurt)
- 2–3 tbsp honning (honey)
- 1 tsp kanel (cinnamon)
- 1 tsp kardemomme (cardamom)
- 1/2 tsp salt (salt)
- Optional: finely grated apple, chopped nuts, chia seeds, or sunflower seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the whole grain flour, oats, eggs, and culture milk or yogurt.
- Add honey, cinnamon, cardamom, and salt; stir until combined.
- If desired, fold in grated apple, nuts, or seeds for added texture and flavor.
- Preheat your waffle iron and pour in the batter as usual.
- Cook until golden brown and crispy, usually about 3–5 minutes.
- Serve warm with your choice of toppings such as yogurt, berries, or honey.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free oats or buckwheat flour. Store leftover waffles in the freezer for easy future breakfasts.
