Description

Ingredients

  • 200g grovt mel (whole grain flour)
  • 100g havregryn (oats)
  • 2 egg (eggs)
  • 250ml kulturmelk eller yoghurt (buttermilk or yogurt)
  • 23 tbsp honning (honey)
  • 1 tsp kanel (cinnamon)
  • 1 tsp kardemomme (cardamom)
  • 1/2 tsp salt (salt)
  • Optional: finely grated apple, chopped nuts, chia seeds, or sunflower seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the whole grain flour, oats, eggs, and culture milk or yogurt.
  2. Add honey, cinnamon, cardamom, and salt; stir until combined.
  3. If desired, fold in grated apple, nuts, or seeds for added texture and flavor.
  4. Preheat your waffle iron and pour in the batter as usual.
  5. Cook until golden brown and crispy, usually about 3–5 minutes.
  6. Serve warm with your choice of toppings such as yogurt, berries, or honey.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free oats or buckwheat flour. Store leftover waffles in the freezer for easy future breakfasts.
