- 1–2 tablespoons plain yogurt or creme fraiche
Instructions
- Pour the heavy cream into a bowl.
- Stir in the yogurt or creme fraiche until well combined.
- Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap.
- Leave the mixture at room temperature for 24 hours to allow it to ferment.
- Once fermented, refrigerate the sour cream to thicken further.
Notes
For a thicker sour cream, use heavy cream and let it ferment for up to 36 hours.
